Also you find many low-price bro’s on internet auctions, great bang for da buck there. Documentation and consistency are better than Aspirin ;.

Hi Not the same hardware, but, I have 2 DCPC’s and have followed Brother’s instructions and installation notes to the letter ie use MFCC drivers and run a couple of commands in Terminal before lknux and it all works!! So I have to wait another week for it to be shipped here. I went to buy the printer today, and Costco no longer has it in stock.

My guess is that if its not broke don’t fix it for the lack of “new” drivers. I suggest setting a fixed IP on the printer, as the broadcast name resolution doesn’t work reliably on mfcc-7440n printer.
