I met a very cool gal who is a student in the Simmons GSLIS program at alumni day yesterday who is *very* interested in going to ALA, but at the moment it’s very cost prohibitive for her. Heck, if PLA wasn’t putting me up, I wouldn’t be able to afford ALA, and I have a job.

However, she mentioned that if she could find a roommate, it might be a bit more feasible. She is of the breed of library student who really should be a librarian, and really, *really* should be attending the annual conferences, so naturally I offered to help.

So, if you’re looking for very inexpensive housing for the annual conference, and wouldn’t mind a low-key roommate who happens to be a student, please send me an email and let me know. Thanx!
