Heading up to the Internet Archive

Internet Librarian 2005 is over, although you can still see a few librarians here and there in Monterey. I’ve checked out of the B&B, and I’m heading up to San Francisco to visit the nice folks at the Internet Archive. I’ll be blogging and Flickring photos from my tour of the digs, as well as my experience scanning a book using the crazy cool Scribe scanner. After a day of adventure, I’ll be visiting with some friends of a friend who live in a geodesic dome near Santa Cruz, then flying out of San Francisco back to Boston on Friday morning.

Festive!

I do still have notes to write up from the conference, which I may not get to until Sunday or so. Overall it was an interesting conference, more of a people conference for me than a sessions conference. I’ve learned a few interesting things about how conference bloggers seem to be evolving, and I really enjoyed my first experience as a presenter.

I’ll reflect more later. Time to hit the road.

What you should know about me
